The Thessaloniceans use to say “heaven is nice but nothing compares to Halkidiki”. They would never “forgive” a visitor who would enjoy the city, the fortress walls, Aristotelous square, the food, but would be indifferent to this earthly paradise just a few kilometers away from the city.
